Inside and outside of these walls, men learn to:

  • listen not only to what each other say, but also to the truth behind each other’s words
  • speak with emotional honesty about their feelings of powerlessness or inadequacy
  • express the anger, sadness, fear, and loneliness they have been raised to hide
  • live with integrity and hold themselves accountable to others
  • participate in a community that welcomes them to be completely themselves.

The Chicago Men’s Center offers training programs, gathering space, and organizational support to teach men the value of being accountable to themselves and help them take more personal responsibility for their roles at home, at work, and in the greater community.
